Roommate wanted for incredible house with a PRIVATE POOL near Hendricks Park in Eugene
We are looking for 1 roommate to share our totally amazing 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with a PRIVATE POOL (not a typo) in the Hendricks Park area near the UofO. It is available NOW, but we want to find the right person to live with, so were not in a rush/desperate. The room is furnished (full size bed with linens, desk, etc.) but we are happy to remove anything not needed.
Location:
Hendricks Park / south hills neighborhood (Southeast/SE Eugene), within walking or biking distance to the University of Oregon (UO). Super nice, quiet neighborhood with very low crime (but we have security cameras on the house just in case). You can see Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium From our front deck, but we are usually hanging out by the pool on the back deck, which is nestled in the trees and very private.
Costs:
$895 per month, which includes ALL utilities (including internet, power, water, EVERYTHING).
$500 refundable deposit.
Month to month lease with at least 30 days notice prior to move-out.
The House:
This house is an architectural gem nestled in the trees and perfect for entertaining. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (1 shared by 2 people), large kitchen with a dishwasher and open top range, huge dining room, huge living room, full bar, mud room, separate room with a washer &- dryer, shed/storage, 2 fireplaces, and 1 acre of private walking paths. It stays cool all summer due to all the trees and the elevation, and with the 2 fireplaces and central heating it is warm in the winter too. You will have full access to the entire house, all the amenities such as the electronics (high speed internet, HDTV with lots of paid subscriptions included, inside and outside stereo systems, record players, washer/dryer, etc.). The house is fully furnished too (all dishes, kitchen stuff, furniture, etc.). One drawback is that we only have limited storage space inside the house, pool house/shed, and attic.
The living room (see photos) has a very comfortable sofa sleeper and we have curtains for all the windows so it is easily convertible into a guest room for your out of town guests, who you are welcome to have over any time. The dining room table extends to 10 and can seat 10.
The bathroom in the pictures is the one you would be sharing with 1 other person.
Your Room:
The room (see pictures) is about 10x12 (around 125 square feet) with hardwood floors. The pictures show it with the furnishings, but we can also take them out. One of the 3 windows has a screen on it so you can leave it open to have some fresh air to go with your sunsets without fear of bugs flying in, etc.
The Swimming Pool:
Its amazing. It is in-ground, heated, deep (10), and totally private. You cannot see any other houses when youre swimming because the deck is suspended at mid-tree level, so it feels like you are swimming in the sky. And yes, that is a real disco ball suspended above the water. It goes nicely with the outside speakers, rooftop lasers, 200’ climbable and roped tree, etc.
Who We Are:
2 professional guys (a teacher and a lawyer) in our thirties. We are friendly, outgoing, and liberal but not insane. We dont have any kids or pets (allergies = no full-time pets but visits are OK). We are laid back, easy to get along with, and dont mind a bit of noise, but nothing TOO crazy.
