Description
$2,295 - Fully Furnished 5 month lease 2 Bedroom 1 Bathroom Dog-friendly House In East Austin With Great Amenities
Fully furnished Classic 1946 bungalow on a quiet street in the convenient, charming and friendly McKinley Heights neighborhood. Available April 14 - Oct. 7th. Four-month minimum, five month stay preferred. Shorter stays negotiable. Quiet, friendly, diverse neighborhood with minimal traffic. PLANET SAVING SPECIAL: If you are conservative with your AC use and want to pay for utilities actually used, we will reduce the rent by $200/month!
With lots of windows, original hardwood floors, and a fenced backyard with a screened-in porch, the house has a comfortable relaxed vibe with mid-century flair. It features a large master bedroom with queen bed, a second bedroom with double bed and workspace, an office/music/yoga room with sit/stand desk, and one full bath. The house has a washer/dryer, new gas stove, and an efficient (and quiet) central AC unit.
Excellent location: close to walking trails, Skylark Lounge, and general East Austin goodness. Three miles from downtown, with easy access to Capital Metro rail and bus stops. Parking in driveway and/or on street.
Dogs over one year old are generally permitted. There are dog doors (closable) for your pup’s access to the porch and backyard. Sorry, but no cats allowed due to severe allergies.
This is our home and has been for many years, so there is a full assortment of utensils, appliances, dishes, etc. that you are welcome to use. Previous tenants have told us they especially appreciated our fully-equipped kitchen and miscellaneous household tools. We rent our home while we work out of state, so it is like staying in a welcoming friends house, but with your bedroom and bath fully cleared out just for you.
Some flexibility on lease start and end dates but not available before mid-April or past early October.
We have a lot of Day of the Dead-themed art but if calaveras and skulls bother you we can pack them up before we leave. Same for the collection of 1980s Austin punk posters, historic family photos from the early 20th century, and our quirky fridge magnets. Before your stay, we can do a tour (in person or virtual) so you can see whats here if you have any concerns.
