Description
Splendid view toward Arch/Downtown St Louis
Spacious(1642 sq. ft.) bright (ten large windows) tenth floor loft condo with splendid view of downtown St Louis skyline. The Terra Cotta Lofts building is two blocks away from the Central Library, one block from restaurants on Washington , and an easy walk to the hockey and soccer stadiums. It is also a quiet building--there is about 18 inches of concrete between each floor, so noise from adjacent units is hardly ever a problem. .
After acquiring this unit a couple of years ago I added additional lighting and fans in the living room and in both bedrooms, plus undercounter lights in the kitchen, as well as a new refrigerator. I live in the building in another unit and can show the unit plus the building and its ameneties---garage, roof deck, conference room, storage---, and answer detailed questions in person just about any time.----.
The condo is located on the northeast corner of the building, and has views to the north (City Museum), northeast (Stan Musial Bridge--Edwardsville) and east (Downtown/Arch). It receives bright morning light but is shaded from the hot afternoon sun . There are two full baths, a walk-in closet, 11 ft. ceilings, hardwood floors, granite kitchen counters, and a washer/dryer combo. HVAC is geothermal. The only utilities you are responsible for are electric and your internet/phone. One reserved garage space is included in the rent. Other spaces are available for rent from companies who operate gated outdoor lots immediately next to the building. .
Except for photos from the rooftop deck, photos of the skyline are taken from inside the unit itself. ,
There are 99 residences in the building, all are individually owned condominiums. Condo regulations are strict but sensible: they prohibit short-term rentals (no AirBB), and ensure that people can get a good nights rest. .
The building has a good mix of residents: young singles, young marrieds, middle-age professionals, retirees. The residents treat the building as a neighborhood, using the rooftop deck as a communal front porch and during good weather regularly gathering for drinks, dinner, and general conversation.
