Convenient location with lush surroundings for a tucked away feel. Just 2 minutes walk from Hilo Downtown Farmers Market, restaurants, 2 groceries stores, art galleries, bus station and more. Perfect for students, nurses, those getting started on the Big Island, yogis and fellow travelers ready for adventure.
Furnished bedrooms, off street parking ($20 a month), and on-sight laundry ($10 per load or $30 for 4 loads a month = $7.50 average). Humble little garden w/ fragrant flowers, fresh herbs and a chance to get your paws in the Earth. Occasional household trips to swim with turtles at nearby beaches with the owner-resident sweet (poet) Grandma.
A serene home for our small community as a RETREAT FOR devotees, YOGIS; VEGETARIANS; (presently, 3 vegans, 4 vegetarians) and fellow travelers from all walks of life.
Leases are on a month to month basis (until renovations are complete downstairs - a few months more). Already completed $60k of renovations.

NO MEAT; NO FISH; NO EGGS; NO DRUGS; NO ALCOHOL; NO PETS; NO LOUD MUSIC; or (unscheduled) parties (loud movies) in the house, and of course cleaning up after ourselves (or $10 cleaning fee - weekly - for those wishing to opt out of cleaning).
We have hosted up to 2,000 renters in the 40 years we have been here.
