We have docks for rent (usually under $50 to $60 for a single slip a month), with up to 42 boats allowed, usually in a double slip. It is located close to Pier 66, Harbor shopping center, and 2 miles to the beach, 8 miles to Ft Lauderdale airport, and 2 miles to Port Everglades, with cruise ships. By boat, the inlet/entrance from Port Everglades to the ocean is only 5 minutes away to go deep sea fishing or to the Islands. One may see sunrises and sunsets down the canal. It is a 1/4 mile to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants (15th St Fisheries 300), boat trailer ramp, and dock spaces out your window. Location Location Location.
There is 40 heated pool at 85 degrees F. year round, cooling it in the summer and heating in the winter. With the building, we have an outdoor shower, bicycle rack storage, building with 2 newer elevators, roof and lobby renewal, gas grills, and a large recreation room, free upon request for parties or meetings.
The 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath unit has the only indoor 2 person Jacuzzi, with hand etched turtles and pelicans on glass blocks, that we know of in our 101 unit well maintained building. The hot tub opens up into the 2nd bedroom, on the other side, with a 6 blind which rolls down. Presently the 2nd bedroom is divided from the front room with a large entertainment center and shelf 6 mirror, reflecting the inter-coastal into the living room.
The master bedroom has an entire wall with 3 large mirrors, 8 high, opening into a lavish built in closet with built in drawers and shelves. The windows are wood shuttered to be opened or closed for privacy or to be dark. Also in the master, the original closet was converted into a built in desk with cabinets used as a small office or computer room with door. The kitchen has a large refrigerator with outside door cold water and ice available, from a desalinator under the kitchen sink, with a second spigot at the faucet for very clean water to drink. The Kitchen cabinets have been recently restored with soft close hinges on wood doors. The convection Kenmore stove is the rare double oven with the top oven also having a broiler. The dining room from the kitchen is also tiled and runs into the carpeted living room with an open floor plan.
We have lived here for 30 years, and have never rented this unit. We found the building to have very friendly neighbors, who sometimes have open gatherings in the recreation room by the pool. There is also and Intercom security entrance with key fobs, and outside always extra parking spaces, with one assigned inside space, along with an assigned storage room in the laundry room, near the unit. Water is included, no pets, only service animals.
