Welcome to cabin life! This quintessential 1960s log cabin is one-half of a duplex, it is small (540 sq ft), but overflowing with character and charm. Situated on a private road 2 mi from the heart of Evergreen. Unlike a traditional duplex, the units face in opposite directions so you have a private entrance and ample outdoor space.
The location is ideal, offering convenience AND a private mountain feel. Less than 2 mi to the lake, downtown Evergreen, and dozens of hiking trails. Only ~30 minutes to Denver & Red Rocks. Easy access to the main roads for commuters, but far enough off the main stretch that it's peaceful.
This is a mountain property, as such, self-sufficiency & responsible fireplace use are a must! We have very snowy winters so comfort navigating a snowy dirt road is needed. Bears, fox, mountain lions, elk, and deer call this land home so common sense regarding wildlife is also required.
Important details:
- Two uncovered parking space steps from your front door, AWD needed
- Ample outdoor space, just bring your hammock (no fence)
- Only 2 closets in the cabin and limited storage space so creative storage solutions are a must. There is space outside to put a small outdoor storage shed, the tenant's responsibility.
- Bathroom has a shower (no tub)
- Charming vintage kitchen (no dishwasher)
- Central heating, (no A/C)
- New washer/dryer in unit
- Cell phone service is great
- Internet providers are HughesNet and Dish (call them for speed & pricing)
- Snow removal for cabin and driveway is the tenant's responsibility
- Snow plowing of the private road is split between all residents on the road (5 cabins) and is billed monthly. We do not have estimates as it depends on the amount of snow, the number of plows, and the rate that the plow company gives us.
- Landscaping, weed clearing, and care of outdoor space are tenant responsibility
- The cabin has some updates (as you can see in the photos), but it is still older with some older windows and an overall rustic feel

- There is no fenced-in area for dogs
