Welcome to School House Lofts! We are located across from EWU's Showalter Hall and next to a small City Park. This unique building was built in 1929 and the former Cheney High School! If you are a student, this place is for you!
Not everyone can say they have "Lived in a School!" We have up to 15 ft. ceilings and 8 ft. windows! This historic building has modern amenities including Smarts TV's in each apartment, brand new appliances and individual heating/AC thermostats! Our Laundry machines are connected to an App you can download on your phone that tells when a machine is available and when your load is done! Next year it may even do your laundry for you!
Our furnished apartments include couches, chairs and dining tables. Each secured bedroom with their own door locks, has a loft bed or standard height, with an extra-long full-size mattress, desk, lamp, dresser and a closet.
We have studio and shared apartments. In the shared apartments, there are two bathrooms. You share a bathroom with only one other person, you get your own sink and cabinet outside the bathroom itself. Maximum of 4 people per apartment, sharing the living room and kitchen areas.
This big building has lots of areas to hang out!
With a balcony above, we have a gym area with two big screen TV's, Ping Pong Tables and a couple of 1929 bleachers! Bean bag chairs are scattered around this area and throughout the building. We also have an auditorium with a lot of seating, a Satellite TV projector that projects onto a large movie screen with a quality sound system. Movie nights and football games are perfect match for this!
We are a safe and secure building that is determined to have a quiet atmosphere 24/7. Extra quiet hours are 10pm-8am! Key Fobs are used to enter the building. We have off street parking lot, personal storage area and a bike storage room!
Getting around town is easy with the # 68 STA Bus and a bus stop located just across the street. Don't forget that all rides are free with your Eagle Card!
