Located just at the east end of the isthmus in lovely Eken Park. The house is newly renovated and has many quirks for exploring and creating a distinctive dwelling experience in Madison. The house will be available from mid to late July 2022 through August 2023. The schedule is negotiable, yet we prefer a minimum of six months.
The rent is really reasonable. Utilities are not included, but with solar panels, the energy bills are actually very reasonable!
Neighborhood: walking distance to Tenny park, Cherokee Marsh, and other smaller dog parks and playgrounds. Several lovely, Madison-landmark brunches, cafes, and pubs are just around the block, and several grocery stores are also close by (one within a mile). Close to hip areas of town, including Atwood and Willy Street, but far enough away to avoid the noise of the weekend revelers.
The house is located on the bus lines, with multiple bus routes right out front and running directly to the University and to the other sides of the city. We are also within walking distance of elementary and high schools.
The first floor (living room, dining room, kitchen) is really spacious and bright, serving as an "open concept" with plenty of social space. The second floor consists of two smaller bedrooms and one large bedroom. The finished attic is spacious enough to serve as a fourth bedroom, but it is attached to the large bedroom below. (It works very well as an office space.) The laundry and dryer machines are down in the basement, which is unfinished
