Originally built as a summer escape, our sweet cottage has thoroughly upgraded HVAC, plumbing & electrical systems and insulation yet none of the original rustic charm and ambiance was sacrificed. It is a very efficient year-round home situated on a 1.5 acre wooded lot so it has exceptional privacy yet is less than a mile from downtown Brevard. The cottage offers two wonderful three-season screened porches at the front and back of the home. There is no drywall in this home: every room has solid wood panel walls and ceilings. All three bedrooms open to the front screen porch with hand-made French doors making for exceptional flow and that indoor/outdoor feel. In cooler weather the cottage is comfortably heated with central gas heat with gas fireplace logs in the living room. In warmer weather, when the heat and humidity gets to be too much, simply close the doors and turn on the air conditioning until cooler air returns. The cottage comes completely and comfortably furnished, including linens and towels. Additionally, the kitchen is equipped with dishware and cookware. All you need to bring are your personal items. Rent does not includes utilities. Lease term is negotiable with a minimum of three months.
