The Bermuda Dunes Colonies were built by renowned Architect and Developer Donald Wexler. Mr. Wexler was known for his soaring glass fronted terminal at the Palm Springs Airport, and he helped make Palm Springs a showcase for midcentury modernism. His brilliant expressions of the desert modern style are captured here at Bermuda Dunes Colonies. As we say at the Bermuda Dunes Colonies… “boy if those pools could talk”. Fred Waring owned #19, President Eisenhower owned #13 and there is talk that several other Hollywood Stars and Pro Golfers had homes in the Colonies.
Speaking about golf, Bermuda Dunes CC was the original host of the Bob Hope Classic and remained as one of the 3 to 4 courses where Pro's and Celebrities competed annually for 50 years under different sponsors. Bermuda Dunes Country Club is composed of 3 nine-hole golf courses. The Bermuda Dunes Colonies are on Hole 1, a Par 5, of the original “Classic Course”.
What is unique about our property? The entire Sun Room, Dining area and laundry Room facing the greenbelt was originally an outside deck but enclosed in 2010. There is large secluded deck behind the lodge fireplace plus a large SPA Patio off the Bedrooms for your outside enjoyment. The expansive open Great Room with a remodeled Lodge Fireplace and sitting area is exceptional. The other units in the Colonies have a hallway leading to both Bedrooms combined with an outside deck which we enclosed with the Sun Room. Lastly, the Kitchen and Bathrooms are also remodeled.
