This is a one bedroom, second floor apartment featuring hardwood floors in the living room & bedroom, ceramic floors in the bathroom & kitchen, large windows, ceiling fans, central air, and a walk in closet. The kitchen looks out into the living room and has granite counters, dishwasher, built in microwave, high BTU glass top stove, refrigerator, garbage disposal, and track lighting. There is complimentary laundry in the hallway that's shared by four apartments. Landlord pays water, sewage & trash. Tenant pays electric. There is electric heat and central AC. Electric bills will be reasonable, given that we added new insulation, new windows, and a high-efficiency heat pump.
This complex at 5511, 5515, and 5519 Baum Blvd. is only blocks from lots of shops and restaurants including Market District, Giant Eagle-Shadyside, Aldi, Rite Aid, Crazy Mocha, Wendy's, Panera and so much more. The busway to quickly get you downtown is only a 5 minute walk away.
It used to be two large mansions side by side. The buildings were stripped down to the brick, remodeled and turned into 27 apartments in 2012. We restored and saved a few things from the mansions, such as original word work, wainscoting, and stained glass windows from the early 1900s. All plumbing, electric, drywall, insulation, HVAC, flooring, appliances were updated.
One assigned parking space is included for each apartment. Extra parking may be available for additional rent.
There is storage in the basement.
Residents enjoy a shared patio space in the rear of the building with picnic tables. Tenants are welcome to put a grill and/or chairs in the patio, with the understanding that it is a common area.
All of our properties are pet friendly for friendly pets with a two animal maximum. We require proof of rabies vaccinations (and licenses for dogs) but we do not charge additional rent or fees for pets.
Smoking is not permitted in any of our properties.
