Description
The Federal Hill Multi - Welcome to The Federal Hill Multi. This is a well-cared for second-floor apartment that has period character all around and some nice updates. The apartment is part of a three-family house in the Federal Hill neighborhood. There are mansions, historic Victorian houses, and lots of attractive single-family properties mixed throughout that makes it a desired and quiet area. It sits up on the hill (Federal Hill) and overlooks Rt. 6 and provides easy access (walking distance) to food shopping and public transportation. ESPN, popular restaurants like Barley Vine and LA Fitness are very close. The Federal Hill Green is a couple of blocks away. The new expansion of Rt. 72 makes getting to downtown Hartford in about 15 minutes without traffic.
The apartment has five good size rooms that are all about the same size. You walk into the front living room which opens right into the dining room. This open layout is great for entertaining or giving you options for different furniture layouts. The large baseboard and door/window casing trim are original to the year the house was built and add unique character. The bump out dining room is a signature architectural design of houses from this period.
The kitchen has newer appliances including a dishwasher and plenty of counter space to prepare meals. Best of all, is the walk-in pantry off the kitchen that can help you organize and store all your food and supplies. The bathroom has recently been updated with fiberglass shower and tub. It has a newer vanity and is a good size to get ready in the morning with lots of light. The entire house is very clean and well maintained with long term quiet tenants. There is fresh designer paint in most rooms of the apartment that makes it feel bright and new. There are nice surprises that have been added like a ceiling fan in the dining room and living room. There is a faux tin ceiling in the kitchen with a period light fixture that really adds charm to the entire apartment.
Some of the best features are the washer and dryer hookups in the basement making laundry convenient and easy. There is plenty of off street parking in the oversize driveway. The second-floor private front porch spans the entire width of the house and is a great spot to relax outdoors with some privacy. There are red oak hardwood floors almost through the entire apartment. Because the unit is a middle floor you can do very well with utility bills (heating and cooling). Furthermore, there are cast iron radiators which are very efficient for heating. There will be one large AC unit left for the next tenant to use that does a great job of cooling the space.
Please keep in mind that we have a thorough application process with a complete background, credit, and employment/income verification. Please only serious inquires. We are looking for someone to care for this apartment like the previous tenants have. The tenant is responsible for heat and electric. Snow removal, landscaping, water is paid for by the owner. If you are interested, please apply at [Use CALL or EMAIL to get in touch] Only one-month security deposit with a strong application.
Thank you for considering The Federal Hill Multi for your next home.
