Casa Mariposa - Welcome to your desert getaway. Tucked in a quiet neighborhood in central Tucson, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow can sleep 8 and features a PRIVATE bonus room for 2 additional people!
There is something for everyone to do inside the home:

Outside the home, you will find more places to explore. Just 10 mins away from: The University of Arizona, Historic 4th Avenue, Downtown Tucson, Winterhaven and so much more!
The space
Tucked away in a quiet caldesac, your bungalow awaits you. Imagine pulling up under a great red shade sail to escape the desert heat. The sandy white walls appear crisp against the dark wood accents of the home. You breathe a sigh of relief, “I am home.” As you approach the iconic reef blue front door, you admire the many butterflies on the pillars surrounding the home. Each butterfly carrying the rest of your stresses away on its wing.
The living room:
You turn the handle of the smart lock converted antiqued door and step onto the tiled floor inside the bungalow. The exposed beamed ceilings, terra cotta floors, and natural wood toned furniture bring you feelings of warmth and comfort. The black Spanish fireplace in the corner make you wonder if you turned back time and walked into a your abulita’s (grandma’s) bungalow.
Take a load off on the cozy blue couch! Our Roku TV is preset to hotel mode so you can log into your favorite movie streaming apps without worrying about other guests changing your algorithm! Unwind with a good book, the living room gets amazing natural lighting during the day. At night, convert the couch into a bed and read until you doze off.
The kitchen
Imagine yourself preparing a delicious home cooked meal in our modernized kitchen. Prep your meal on our concrete poured countertops, cook some rice on the gas stove, and bake some chicken in the oven. The stainless steel wine rack will have your favorite wine paring ready for pouring when dinner’s ready. And when dinner’s over, pop the dishes in the dishwasher for easy cleanup.
Not a chef? Not to worry! We have a microwave and freezer to hold your frozen pizzas too ;)
The king room
This grand room calls out to those who are serious relaxers. Sprawl out across the king sized memory foam bed. Use all the hanging space in the many closets to unpack your belongings. Play your favorite movie on your personal roku tv. Bonus, the yellow arm chair pulls out into a futon so you don’t have to share your bed with anyone! Of course, you don’t have to worry about logging out of your accounts because, this tv is preset to hotel mode!
The bathrooms
Both bathrooms are newly remodeled to give our old bungalow modern touches where it matters. Enjoy a shower under our waterfall shower heads. The skylights fill the room with Tucson sunshine, creating a calming oasis for your personal time.
After a long trek through the desert, your furry friends can also get cleaned with our low, removable shower head. What a treat!
The workspace
Sometimes getting away means changing your work space up. Other times, getting away means answering your morning emails and logging off for the rest of the day. Either way, our bungalow has two work stations with one sit/stand option. Both desks are positioned in front of large windows overlooking the shaded pool to remind you of the reward that’s waiting for you a few hours ahead :)
The den
Roll open the black barn door to find the den! Your kids, or the young at heart folks, will love the bunk beds in this room. The Twin XL over Queen memory foam mattresses will carry them into dream land and the sky light will gently wake them when a new day of adventure begins.
The pink room
Luxury comes in pink. That’s right, our king sized memory foam bed sits on a pink velour bed frame. Modernizing what’s important, are we right? This is the largest room in the house with front yard access! Arguably the most accessible room in the house — you are just steps away from the gym, work stations, and pool. Unwind with a book in the corner or watch your favorite shows on your private Roku TV. And when you’re ready to hit the town, grab your things and walk out the door without anyone stopping you!
The gym
Working out while on vacation is easier than ever with our roku tv inside the gym. Play your favorite Pelaton workout or discover a new workout on YouTube.
Our airy gym area has large windows — letting in lots of natural light—overlooking the cool and inviting pool. The gym is equipped with a spin bike, elliptical, and Pilates machine. Flow into a mind-body connected state on one of our yoga mats. Finish your session off with a light free weight work out. Finally, admire your progress in one of our large floor to ceiling mirrors.
The pool
Unlock the black French doors to access the backyard deck and pool area. You have found a true oasis in the desert. Enjoy a dip in the shaded pool on a hot summers day. Lay out on raton body contoured lounge chairs and some natural vitamin D. Enjoy dinner outside on the deck by butterfly light. Grab some extra seating for the entire crew from the shed so everyone can sit outside on the deck. Have a cup of tea or coffee underneath the bamboo shoots. Gaze up at the stars above the shoots when the sky turns dark. The private oasis is yours to enjoy throughout your entire stay.
Private suite
Special guests who are looking for extra privacy can have access to our oasis front suite. The queen sized memory foam bed overlooks the backyard oasis. Relax on the vintage rocking chair and unplug from all distractions. Thankfully, the trek across the oasis is a short one when you’re ready to rejoin your group.
Pet friendly areas
Your furry pal has many options for fun at casa mariposa too! They can play for hours in the doggie run, just be sure to pick up any messes with the provided pooper scooper. (And don’t forget about the pet friendly shower!) They can also drink water and eat out of our Casa Mariposa pet-ware. And your pal can also enjoy access to the main bungalow and private suite through our VIP pet access doors.
