Bedroom in Large House near Castro
This available bedroom comes with an amazing view and large mirrored closet and shares a bathroom with one other roommate in a fantastic and well equipped house. Shared amenities in the house include a great home theater system in the living room, fully equipped kitchen with every gadget you can think of, fantastic views from the balcony, use of a small hot tub, large washer and dryer, fitness room including a treadmill and weights. Gigabit internet, PG&E, water, and periodic (every 2-3 weeks) house cleaning services are shared equally at an approximate total of ~$350/person/month. Groceries are generally split evenly, with exception.
House is shared with 2 gay male roomies, 1 retired rocket scientist and 1 working geek, 1 cat (kitty friendly applicants only please), as well as 1 straight female in an adjoined studio. We enjoy an open, (very) liberal, comfortable, relaxed, fun communal house, living as great friends enjoying life and sharing experiences. Occasional gourmet dinners, movies, nights with glasses of wine and snacks, twilights in a bubbling hot tub, for the best quality of life.
We're hoping for someone that enjoys their alone and together time equally, operates with consideration and respect, is flexible, open minded, and meshes well. Singles only please (no couples).
1 year lease including flexibility for the first 30 days. Month to month after.
In the words of our amazing departing roommate:
For last two years, 44 Museum Way has been where I called home. This room rental is conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk to the famous Castro District. It is close enough to the excitement, but far enough away to experience and enjoy the beautiful views of the San Francisco Skyline from the top of Corona Heights Park.
The house is full of top of the line amenities (ie washer/dryer, practically silent dishwasher, keyless entry, partial home gym, portable hot tub, extremely reliable high speed internet, monthly housekeepers and much, much more) and all the common spaces are furnished, all of which really make this place a really desirable place to call home. If you have a car, there are never any parking challenges, just remember to move your car when it is street clearing. The pictures of this home do not do this place justice. It’s an absolutely great place to live and to also WFH in.
As for the housemates, they are also amazing, they are great to hang out with, have house dinners with, watch movies with, but they also value and enjoy their alone/quiet time. Most importantly, they care a great deal for one another and that is shown through the respect they show to one another. I can honestly say that each of them have been very kind, courteous, thoughtful and always willing to lend an ear, which has also been a great aspect of living here.
Albeit I’m sad to be leaving this wonderful home near the Castro, it really has been a great place to live. I can honestly say that when I arrived to 44 Museum way, I was moving into a situation with complete strangers, but now that I’m leaving, I can say I have gained lasting friendships.
To the next renter, this is a great place to live. I took a risk and it definitely paid off in the end.
