The Brock & Rankin building was a former renowned printing facility and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. By the late nineteenth century, Printer's Row was a center for commercial printing in the United States second only to New York. The majority of the building was constructed between 1883 and 1928 for Chicago's burgeoning printing industry. The exterior is red brick, and stunning terra cotta detailing. The interior spaces feature exposed concrete and masonry walls. The lobby retains a historic metal stair. an original brass elevator enclosure and a polychrome mosaic floor.
