At the advent of Hollywood's "Golden Age," this grand Neoclassical designed for H.D. Howell and attributed to architect Marshall P. Wilkinson, was welcoming its first visitors in 1912. One of the earliest designs in the Las Colinas Heights Historic District and immediately adjacent to Wattles Mansion and Gardens, the property retains many of its original historic elements with symmetry of form. The formal entry and living room are punctuated with dentil and dart and egg moldings, and twin pocket doors step up to both den with original ornate fireplace and dining room accented with hand painted mural. Upstairs, a large master suite, two additional bedrooms and baths, and a separate sunroom overlooks the pool, seating areas, guest house w/gym and gardens. The home was famously featured in the classic film Rebel Without a Cause.
