Our home is on Falls Road, up a hill allowing for quiet and privacy. It is walking distance to Mount Washington Lightrail, Lake Roland Park, Whole Foods, and Starbucks. There is also a small community playground two blocks away. Without traffic, you can expect to be downtown in 15 minutes.
The downstairs living space is large with plenty of windows/light and a separate dining area through pocket doors. The dining area flows into the kitchen. The three bedrooms on the second floor are all on the small side (one is currently used as an office). We use the attic bedroom as our master/second office, though in the summer we need to use window units up there (we will be leaving them) as the central air doesn't quite do it. The bathrooms are on the second floor (w/ bath) and in the unfinished basement (w/ shower), which is currently used as a workshop and for storage (will be empty and cleaned for move in). Washer/dryer is also in the basement.
The home has been renovated over the last three years (all new electrical wiring, drywall, kitchen, bathroom, central AC) but we did not replace the windows and chose to refinish the floors instead of replacing. There is an adjoining apartment in the rear that is rented to a psychologist with two small dogs. She is lovely and shares the backyard, though she also has a private side yard. The yard is notably large (double lot) and very green with a huge Magnolia tree. We also just planted four fruit trees in the front and back that we've netted in hopes they survive cicada season! We are moving to Columbia, MD, so you will have private landlords.
We plan to rent our home as a single-family home, not a group house.
