Our location is adjacent to one of Los Angeles' oldest city parks, South Park. Since 1899, this 19 acre park has provided shade and recreation for LA city residents. In the early 1900's, the LA Times called it "the monte carlo of Los Angeles, minus the wicked jingle of the coin." In the 1940's, legends of South Central's jazz scene performed under its band shell, and in later decades the park hosted anti-war protests and other political demonstrations.
