I'm looking for a roommate and have an available 1 Bed 1 Bath for rent (unfurnished) in a comfortable sized 2 bed 2.5 bath home. This recently remodeled house is one side of a duplex and has upgraded features and appliances to provide a clean and comfortable living space. The upstairs has brand new carpet and the available bedroom includes a new closet along with a granite-countertop-vanity, fully tiled bathroom floor and shower, which includes a handheld and overhead rain shower. There is a good, natural breeze and all rooms come with a new ceiling fan. This two story house is set up well with the private bedrooms upstairs and the common spaces downstairs, including a covered outdoor patio area in the front and back yard. The backyard patio will very soon include an outdoor furniture set, currently has a covered translucent roof and outdoor patio lighting to enjoy the great San Diego weather.
It's located in a quiet part of the neighborhood towards the end of a cul-de-sac. Street parking is available and can also share the parking spot in the backyard. Sometimes the street parking gets a little tight on the weekends, but I never had to park more than a block away. This house is a less than 3 miles from downtown North Park, ~ 5 miles to Balboa Park, minutes from multiple freeway access, and less than 15 minute drive to downtown San Diego.
The room is available now and I am looking for a good fit, someone (male or female) who is looking for a place to call home and likes to keep a clean/healthy living environment. Non-smoking, no drugs, career oriented, and bonus points if you have a green thumb and like house plants. A little bit about me, I'm a male in my low 30s, an Engineer by trade, like to be active and outdoors as much as I can (currently training for marathon), have done some international travelling and looking forward to picking this up again in the near future.
Utilities are shared 50/50 and I am open to 3 or 6 month leases to provide some flexibility since we are coming out of this crazy year of 2020. The rent is $1,300 with option to renew or change to month-to-month, deposit is one month's rent, credit check is required - but refunded if you are selected, and showings are by appointment only.
