Description
The Majestic Multi - Welcome to 90 Evergreen Ave, Floor #2. This majestic house is a three-family, although no one would ever know from the road. This historic house sits up on a hill and has a large and inviting front porch. It is one of the most unique multi-family houses in the west end and a neat place to call home.
The best part of the apartment is how spacious the rooms are and the two full baths! Again, it’s very unique to have two full baths in a charming multi-family.
This second-floor apartment is ideally all on one level. All three bedrooms are good size, but the common rooms; living room, dining room, and kitchen, are really large.
The entire apartment has been professionally painted with neutral colors and is spotless clean. Brand new laminate hardwood floors have been installed in half of the rooms with new trim molding. There are also all new baseboard heat covers throughout. The other half of the apartment has the original red oak hardwood floors.
The house was built in 1910 and a lot of the charm remains like the high ceilings, built-in hutch in the dining room, and brick fireplace in the living room. All the windows are oversized, including the large bank of windows in the living room that allow a lot of natural sunlight in (faces west for some nice sunsets). There is also a terrific second floor enclosed three-season porch that is off the front/master bedroom. This porch is all windows and is one my favorites spots in the apartment.
A nice surprise is the kitchen is spacious enough for a large table and to be an eat-in kitchen. A newer washer and dryer set is also located in the kitchen. The size of the kitchen could make the dining room an additional den, or playroom, or office.
The front bedroom (with the front porch) also has its own full bath attached. The second full bath has a tub and is conveniently located off the hallway between the two other bedrooms. These bedrooms are tucked in in the back of the apartment and offer some nice privacy away from the common rooms.
The backyard is another highlight - it is one or the largest grass backyards in the area! A nice spot to throw a ball or have a BBQ.
The west end is loved section of Hartford that boarders West Hartford. There are famous eateries like Moe’s Midtown for the best breakfast in the city. Everything you need for dining, bars, shopping, is walking distance from this house. Sisson Ave exit and entrance is less than a mile away making it ideal for commuting. UConn law school, University of Hartford and Elizabeth Park (nicest park in Hartford!) are all close by.
The property has efficient natural gas heat and hot water. Tenant is responsible for heat and electric. Owner pays for water, snow removal, and landscaping. There is only off-street parking, but parking can be found in front of the house rather easily (during storms they are lots to move the cars to).
Please keep in mind there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on credit. Good credit is a must. There is also an employment and income verification. Pet’s considered on a case-by-case basis. Only one-month security deposit with a strong application.
