Manchester Arms, #104 - The Manchester Arms is a 5-story, 60-unit apartment building erected in 1908. The Early 20th Century design and classic brick architecture are evidenced as you walk from the beautiful, secure entryway into the elegant, open lobby. Each unit boasts 10' high ceilings, central (hot water) heat, and gas equipped kitchens. Many units have exposed brick, hardwood floors, and the much-desired claw-foot bathtub; several even have bay windows and amazing city views. Each unit in The Manchester is distinctive in its own right as no two units are exactly the same. There are 3 types of units throughout the building; the efficiency, the studio and the 1-bedroom.

EFFICIENCY UNIT: Sometimes referred to as a “sleeper” room, it is similar to that of a dormitory in that there is a secure, well-kept, community bathroom (shared between 3 efficiency units). However, these units are far removed from a dorm-room in that they are each furnished with a kitchenette (refrigerator, stove/oven, sink), and there are no “party floors” at the Manchester. The efficiency is a great value for students wanting to escape the high cost of on-campus living, the retired and those on limited incomes, or those just wanting to save a little money to go on vacation or buy gourmet coffee.
