Review of our rental experience at 226 Sims Place Road
#1 Recommendation
The house is well situated in a wooded area near the Smoky Mountains. The combination stone and
vinyl siding external elevation of the house is perfect for the natural setting. The interior has all
hardwood floors, excellent wood cabinets in the kitchen, a stone fireplace and a vaulted ceiling
covered with wood in the living room. We frequently used the fireplace in the winter time as a source
for heat but also for creating a festive atmosphere. Every aspect of the house is well architected. It is a
house one would want to own which is unusual for a rental property.
Jenna and Ben were always responsive to any maintenance item we brought to their attention. The
items were infrequent and minor in nature.
Overall, we have greatly enjoyed renting this property during the last fifteen months. We highly
recommend this property without qualification. It has been a great experience.

We rented this property for over a year while we were building our new home and feel so fortunate to have found it. It has a wonderful secluded mountain lodge feel but is only 10 minutes away from the businesses of downtown Maryville. The hardwood floors, tongue and groove ceilings, fireplace, and loft area overlooking the living room give it the feel of a vacation getaway. We spent hours in the shade of the covered back porch and the wooded back yard offered privacy and seclusion which was important to us.
Just as important was that throughout the term of the lease Ben and Jeanna were always honest and treated us fairly and with respect. Any time we called with a problem or question our concern was addressed quickly and professionally making this rental experience the best either of us has ever had. We highly recommend both the Penton's as landlords and this property as a rental.
