Welcome to Malden! A wee bit about the place! Up for rent is a 1 bed 1 bath on the second floor of an old 4 family house. Don't let the age scare you - the apartment has been fixed up! The windows are all new throughout the unit. The kitchen and bath were both renovated and look great still. There's tons of storage in the kitchen with cabinets galore (mostly due to the cabinets within the little peninsula that makes for a great cooking workspace) and shelves above to show off your nice china. There's also a pantry for additional storage. There is a dishwasher, disposal, new fridge and gas stove. Off of the kitchen is the newly remodeled bathroom with floating vanity and exquisite dark grey tile. The toilet is new, and has that fancy duel flush.

Both the living room and bedroom are large at about 15' x 15'. The living room has wainscoting paneled walls and chair rail and is painted a neutral light grey. The bay window lets in tons of mid morning and afternoon light and is great to place a nice reading chair into. I will include a tv mount for those people who detest the hanging, visible wires as much as me. The bedroom is rather square, but not in the colloquial sense - it's pretty awesome actually. Two big windows let in great light. There's a closet that is large enough to fit at least one person's wardrobe, but heed not- the room is totally big enough to throw in an armoire. The bed in the pictures is a king.

The house:

There is coin op laundry in the basement (sorry- it was there when I bought the place, and if it ain't broke...). It's $1.50 per load and works just fine. The apartment comes with a parking space included in the rent! I believe the house was originally a single family, and when they converted it, they didn't add meters to any of the utilities, so therefore I pay for everything- UTILS INCLUDED. I keep the house warm in the winter, and it's up to you to cool it in the summer- but of course this is all covered in the price. There is a front yard if you like to play bocce or have a little cookout.

The location:

Situated 6/10 of a mile from Malden T stop, and half a block away from the bus stop that will bring you to the T if you're feeling lazy that day, the apartment is also convenient to routes 1 and 93 - both about 10 minutes away with moderate traffic. The house is also less than a half mile to the main strip of restaurants and bars in hoppin' downtown Malden. If you are a gym goer, there's a fully stocked YMCA basically across the street from the house - it's new and has everything from the pool to daily yoga classes included in the membership. There's also a public pool down the street for those hot summer days. Behind the house about a 5 minute walk away, there's an awesome hill that has some of the best views of Boston. It's a great place to exercise.

The apartment comes available October 1st or November 1st. For deposits I take 1st and last, subject to change. No fee apartment!!!
