Wonderful location for those loving nature and the city, in SW Hills, Portland, OR. Safe, quiet, woodsy, upscale area, close to downtown, (three ways to drive there!), 8-10 min walk to the ARBO with miles of dog walking trails, Zoo, MAX station; with access to Lincoln, West Sylvan and Ainsworth schools. In the past we have shared our home w/employees of Nike, Intel, firms who had employees needing a home-like place, (not a hotel), Lewis&Clark College, Portland State, OSHU, Good Sam/St Vincent’s hospitals, families who want their kids at Lincoln, those having their home redone and families wanting to work from home.
This home is not for those into perfection or loud parties!. It is informal with older but comfortable furnishings. It has many possibilities for renters and the owners to be creative in terms of how the rental spaces can be configured. Lots of extra space.
Main level, (top) accessible from driveway: 2 BR, 1 with a king sized Sleep-Number bed, 31” TV and the other room with a queen Tempur-pedic bed, 2 BA, full kitchen, living room with fireplace/dining area, 51” TV, lovely deck, shared laundry. Office space on the bottom deck is available for the renters. Previous renters
describe top/main level as a comfortable, warm, delightful “tree house kind of home”. Parking for one car in the driveway and another on the road. With the renters, we share the family room down on the 2nd floor, with exercise equipment, ping pong table and a fabulous massage chair and guest bedroom. . Or, the main level renters can have the family room plus the “guest" room next to it, as their own space and not share with us for an extra fee! The configurations are very flexible. We are an elderly, informal, relaxed, Quaker couple, who have raised many home-made, adopted and foster children, puppies and elders here in this dearly loved 1970’s home. In later years, we’ve shared our home with many interesting people. We now spend time as volunteers in Mexico, camping, kayaking ,biking an
