Gated 55+ Independent Living Community in Spokane Valley - The Cottages at Valleyway is a community of homes for retiring “your way”, located in close proximity to activities, the YMCA, Valley Senior Center and the Spokane Valley Mall. The Cottages are within minutes of the medical community and hospital center. Spokane Transit Authority routes are located nearby on Broadway and the Cottages are within the Spokane Transit Authority Para Transit Service Area. Mirabeau Park and Community Center are located just to the north very near recreation on the Spokane River.
Our 55+ communities are designated as such through Section 807(b)(2)(C) of The Fair Housing Act. This means our 55+ communities are intended and operated for occupancy by persons 55 years of age or older.
At least 80 percent of the occupied units must be occupied by at least one person who is 55 years of age or older. However, up to 20 percent of our units may be rented by someone under the age of 55, but no one under 18 years of age can reside in the community.
The Cottages is a gated community with walking path, elevated garden patches, and covered gazebo for its residences. All residences are level entry homes for easy access. All rental homes are served with at least one attached single car garage and some with two car attached garages. Additional detached garages are available on site for additional storage. The community is maintained with yard mowing, vegetation trimming and snow removal on drives and home walks.
Homes Amenities – Everything you would expect in a home for ease of living to support you and your family’s lifestyle. There are no steps for single level living and all Cottages are adapted for smart home connectivity. Each home has:
• Gourmet kitchen and walk-in pantry
• Stainless gas range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator

• Some homes have double master bedrooms – all units have private bathrooms attached to bedrooms
