Description
Fully Remodeled First Floor Studio - This is a relatively new studio unit located in a building near the corner of North Point and Hyde streets. It is small but beautifully appointed, well laid out and has all the modern conveniences you would want in a nice apartment. The building contains 14 apartments and most of the building has been remodeled. It is available early August.
The kitchen of the unit has new maple laminate cabinets and new appliances. It’s quite large. There is a very good quality high btu gas range, built in microwave, dishwasher, disposal, and refrigerator. There is enough room in the kitchen for a small or medium size dining table.
The bathroom is also nearly new. It has a very nice checkerboard design of white and black tile. The plumbing in the building is all rebuilt, including copper pipes, new waste lines, etc. The hot water is nearly instant because there is a re-circulating system with an electronic pump which keeps the hot water flowing through insulated pipes. The faucets and shower valves are relatively new. There is a large mirror, nice light fixture, and large medicine cabinet. There is an automatic air circulating system on the roof which ventilates every afternoon to help keep the bathroom fresh and mildew free.
All of the lighting in the unit is low voltage recessed. Low voltage gives a very beautiful quality of light. It is used extensively in department stores for displays. All of the wiring in the unit is new. There are many electric plugs and telephone and cable jacks as well. The telephone wiring is all CAT 5, and is new all the way to the street telephone box at the street corner.
The building as a whole has been very substantially remodeled. There are many lights in the hallways for security. The front door is a glass commercial model and I use a non copy front door key system for security. There is a voice control intercom to the front door of the building so you can speak to people who want entry.
The unit has a high quality commercial carpet. It looks very nice. The walls in the unit are fully insulated, so it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. All of the walls are new sheet rock, with new wood trim throughout as well. All of the doors and hardware in the unit are also new. The hardware is from Baldwin Brass and is top notch.
There is an almost brand new laundry in the building with two washers and two driers.
I do not currently have a parking space available but there is a garage about 1-1/2 blocks away. However, you will find the parking to be relatively good in this neighborhood due to the huge reservoir at Bay and Hyde (2 square blocks where nobody lives). Of course, you won’t believe me – but just come over and see at 7-9PM. There is almost always a space available.
The only other negative is that the unit is a bit dark, being on the first floor at the bottom of the interior courtyard light-well. So you will probably have the lights on a lot during the day. But they are quite beautiful and really set off the finishes and, after you move in, your pictures and furniture.
I am the owner and manager – you don’t have to request repairs through a management company. I take care of my tenants. And because the building is largely new, there are few problems anyway. Thanks for your interest.
