(If you are new to the area, just google "Monty's Blue Plate Diner," "Barrymore Theatre," "Harmony Bar," "Starkweather Brewing Company," and "Forward Craft & Coffee.") Top-notch neighborhood schools, too, in walking distance.
Near a mainline bus stop to Capital Square, State Street, UW-Madison and Edgewood College. This is a VERY bike-friendly neighborhood, and we are one block from the Isthmus bike path which runs to downtown and UW. Plenty of on-street parking available. Pets are welcome. Monthly fee of $40 for dogs and $25 for cats. This is a non-smoking building. On-street parking available.

Utility fee is not included. This is a fully-furnished apartment, perfect for a visiting academic or newcomers waiting to buy a home.
Our home could also be a good fit for a group of professionals or graduate students. We're thinking it's suitable for up to 4 adults. For an additional person, there will be an occupancy charge of $200 per person per month, with a limit of 5 adults.
Much of the electricity we consume in this building is provided by 14 solar panels. True green renewable energy! And don't worry, we are connected to the grid so there will always be electricity, even on cloudy days.
Tenants are responsible for lawn care and snow removal.
Our home is available from August 15, 2026 through August 14, 2027. Dates are flexible but ideally, we're interested in a longer term lease (at least 9 months). We would entertain the idea of renting for just the fall or spring semester.
