This wonderful family home is located inside the gates of an exclusive beach community in Carpinteria, just south of Montecito. Located front and center on "The World's Safest Beach - Carpinteria Beach", Sandyland Cove Retreat is all about the sun, surf and a relaxed way of life.

The Great Room is bright and spacious, with comfortable seating options and sun streaming in through an abundance of oceanfront windows. One side of the Great Room features a sectional sofa and flat screen TV, making this a perfect place for snuggling up with a big bowl of popcorn on movie night. Avid readers may wish to choose a title from a large book collection and cozy up in the Sunroom, or in front of the fireplace in one of two recliners. Dine at the round oak table that seats 6, or a second table set for 4. Step outside to a glass enclosed loggia on the ocean side with plenty of open deck space for sun worshipping.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with new Viking range and plenty of counter space. The cupboards are stocked with unique artisan pottery, an abundance of dishes, and plenty of tools and gadgets for the creative cook. The open floor plan creates a great common space, so there can be no excuse for everyone to not help out with after dinner dishes!

Upstairs, a "Family Suite" occupies the second floor with a Master Suite and attached Office/Bedroom. The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed, ocean views and a glass enclosed balcony. Facing the mountain views, the Bedroom/Office offers a bunk bed with a full-size/twin bunk bed and built-in desk. A Laundry room connects to the Office Bedroom and a full Bathroom services both rooms. There is an additional washer and dryer on the main floor level as well.

A unique design feature of this home is three private guest suites, each having their own private entrance and en suite Bathroom. Each room is accessed from the front deck and are all independently locking rooms. The north facing suite is a perfect second Master Suite, with king-size bed and wonderful views of the Carpinteria Wetlands and the Santa Ynez mountains. The middle Bedroom has a queen-size bed and the south suite has two twin beds. This front deck area has views of the majestic mountains, a dining table for 4 and barbecue just outside these guest suites.

The outdoor area of this oceanfront oasis will be the central focus for all activity. Relax in the hot tub while or enjoy a game of Bocce Ball or Croquet on the grass lawn. There is a beachfront patio carved into the natural rock landscape at water's edge. With seasonal variance in the surf, there may be a differing amount of sand in front of the home. When the tide is out, guests can walk down the beach in both directions for hours.

Be sure to plan extra time to visit local shops and great restaurants in downtown Carpinteria, the quaint beachside town with friendly locals and plenty to see, hear and taste! The best burger and milkshakes in town are at "The Spot", one block up from the beach on Linden Avenue. If visiting in the fall, the Avocado Festival in October is one of the most well attended and fun events on the Central Coast. Sandyland Cove Retreat will become a family favorite year in and year out!

Note: The front door and main living spaces are on the second floor. Guests will have to use stairs to access this home.
