The Richard Stauffer Home
This home was built by Emporia Artist and Art Professor at Emporia State University, Richard Stauffer. During the 1980s Mr. Stauffer was named the Kansas Governor's Artist of the Year. Examples of his art have made their way throughout the State of Kansas and the United States. He designed and led the project to create "Prairie Passage" at Highway 50 and Industrial Blvd in the Fairgrounds.
At that time he was no novice at large projects having built the Richard Stauffer house that is now offered for rent. You will have the privacy of this acre lot with a breath-taking view of Jones Park. The upper deck off of the master bedroom will take you back to your childhood in your favorite tree house as it overlooks the back yard and the view of the park. The view is conveyed into the master bedroom through the double french doors opening to the deck. The upper deck connects to a lower deck off the main level of the house for more enjoyment of the back yard view.
