Description
Entire 3rd Floor Studio with En Suite Bath in Sunny Beach House
The Tree Studio is a large, sunny 3rd floor studio with windows facing N, W and E. Wake up to the sunrise and bright light with the five windows or watch the storms roll in. The bright ocean colors complement the dark hardwood floors. The east-facing window has a cozy bench seat, which faces an oak-filled park and lets in ocean breezes. The north-facing windows look out over the rooftops to Asbury Park. A kitchenette includes microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator/freezer. This includes a private, en suite bathroom with black-and-white hex and subway tile. Furnished (or unfurnished if you wish) with large cedar-lined dresser, two sets of large cabinets, a hanging closet, and a bathroom cabinet with shelves and a drawer. A robust air conditioner keeps you cool in warmer weather, and a Google mesh network provides great WiFi.
The main bedroom area is 21’ x 12’, the private, en suite bathroom is 8’ x 6’ and the walkable closet/bench area is ~8’ x 4’, for a total square footage of 332 square feet, not including the built-in storage cabinets. It’s a huge room.
The cheery and light-filled home has a front porch facing a park, a wonderful place to sit and have a coffee or a glass of wine. The Tree Studio is a 4-block walk to the Atlantic Ocean, 2 blocks to downtown Ocean Grove (OG) and 3 blocks to downtown Asbury Park (AP). Hopping the train to NYC is easy with the AP train station only 0.5 miles away—a 10-minute walk.
Additionally, access to shared first floor spaces includes a large living room, dining room, piano room with an older but nicely tuned piano, a kitchen for larger meal prep and a half-bath for guests. There is also a shared high capacity washer and dryer in the basement.
Ocean Grove (OG) is a beach town whose personality morphs each season. Winter is very quiet, and Mother Nature redesigns the beach, Spring livens up with downtown happenings and Summer is an all-out packed family festival. Two blocks away, downtown OG has Odyssey Coffee, Seagrass, the Starving Artist and Dale and Dollops along with other cool retail shops. Our main mode of transport is bikes and walking, especially in non-winter months. On-street parking is free and plentiful until the crowds arrive in the summer.
This beach house is occupied by a former corporate mom/now consulting, her 14-year-old entrepreneurial transpo nerd son and a hypoallergenic dog. We have our separate bedrooms, bathroom and office on the 2nd floor. You have your privacy on the 3rd floor. We are looking for someone who is a good fit for our home and our family. We are clean and considerate—though the occasional school project may arise. We love being active outside in warmer weather and cooking and creating in colder weather.
The monthly rental includes WiFi, gas, heat, electric, water, trash, sewer, cleaning every two weeks, common kitchen and laundry supplies such as dish, dishwasher and laundry soap as well as garbage bags. Rental is available now through May 18, 2024. Application with background and credit checks required (pricing set by platforms). If you are approved, signing the lease plus 1.5 months security deposit ($2000) and first months rent ($1350) secures the room. Due to severe allergies, we cannot accept pets :(
Then bedroom and bath photos are of the 1 bed and 1 bathroom studio. The remainder are of the common spaces in the home. No smoking (even outside), no vaping, no partying, no heavy drinking, no illegal drugs, no lewd behavior.
