An applicant for housing in Colorado has the right to provide a landlord with a Portable Tenant Screening Report (PTSR) as defined in §38-12-902(2.5) of the Colorado Revised Statutes. The PTSR must be dated within 30 days of the date applicant applies for housing, and transmitted directly from the consumer reporting agency that prepared it to a landlord. If applicant provides a landlord with a PTSR, landlord may not charge applicant a rental application or screening fee, and cannot charge a fee for landlord to access or use the PTSR.
