FULLY FURNISHED 2BR/2BH house is available for month-to-month lease. The house is a perfect temporary home for LANL new hires, visiting scientists, and business travellers. It is currently AVAILABLE from November 22nd through January 8th.
NOTE: One bedroom is converted into an office, so the house has only one bedroom.
Month-to-month lease is $110 per day (government rate in Los Alamos) plus one-time cleaning fee of $125, 1 month minimum stay. For new hires, LANL covers 30 days of lodging expenses at $110 per day for postdocs, and 60 days for regular employees. Utilities, Sling TV, and Wi-Fi are included in the price.
This lovely single-family home offers a recently renovated eat-in kitchen featuring top-of-the line appliances, granite countertops, and a cozy wood-burning stove. The spacious living room provides plenty of room to relax or entertain guests. The kitchen opens up to the furnished patio with a grill, overlooking the fully-fenced backyard.
There are two bathrooms. One bathroom has a bathtub- another bathroom has a 4ft by 4ft rain shower. Inspired by the European trend of locating laundry units in the bathroom for optimum efficiency, we have the washer and dryer handily situated in the second bathroom.
The master suite contains a comfortable queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has been converted into a home office - the perfect professional workspace with a large desk and comfortable chair. An additional desk is in the living room area.
Conveniently located on a quiet cul-de-sac close to LANL and downtown Los Alamos, this property also provides easy exit to Santa Fe. It sits in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood, mostly occupied by LANL employees and LANL retirees. With ample parking space for an RV, boat, or extra vehicles, this home can meet a range of needs.
House is within 5-10 minutes driving from LANL (8 minutes to the Badge Office), 2 minutes driving to Smith grocery store, 2 minutes driving to LA fitness center, 3 minutes to YMCA, 6 minutes driving to Hospital, 5 minutes driving to the Aquatic center with the Olympic sized indoor swimming pool.
