TBH I went down a google rabbit hole about the origin of the last name "Peachy" - turns out it's Swiss/German - but all I really wanted was to know was if the word was spelled with an extra 'e' at the end (PeachEY vs. Peachy). Still unsure, but I am sure that now I want a biopic of the first female botanist to cross-pollinate international fruit trees, Flory Peachy. She's made up, but I want to know more! Don't you? Oh, she was cheeky, sharp, and anti-man (c'mon, all the literary gals of the time were, *eyeroll*). She moved to South St. Louis City and settled into the most adorable two bedroom on Sunshine- coincidentally or not - the same name as her dog! I'm telling you, you couldn't write this, folks! Or could you? Seriously, I'm thinking the first half of the book describes how she made herself at home, cooked meager healthy meals in the unassuming kitchen, studied in the bright light of her second bedroom, and dreamed of maiming her planty rival- a man, no doubt *eyeroll*- from her cozy bedroom. That's right, this ethereal sounding woman who's name literally translates to "Flower Satisfactory" had a dark side. BUT- she always smelled great!
