Electric has been updated, with new light fixtures throughout and a ceiling fan in the main room. The apartment has a separate dining area and large galley kitchen. The apartment has a large dressing room which includes electric, so could be used as a small office. Storage space is available in the dressing room and in a large closet in the main room.
The building has a large and well-kept laundry room in the basement. Free permit parking is available for residents, first come, first served. Please note that there is more demand than free permit spaces available. If you can't find a free permit space, there is abundant metered parking nearby. Meters are free all day on Sundays and from 7 PM to 8 AM the other six days of the week. If you are willing to walk, you will find free on-street parking about a block from the building.
You may not need a car to live here. The location is in the Central West End/Midtown neighborhood, right in the heart of St. Louis. Public transit is easily available, with direct access to Metrolink. Within walking distance are two supermarkets, City Foundry, the Cortex district, IKEA, two pharmacies, coffee houses, restaurants and movie theaters. The main campus of St. Louis University is across the street.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or anywhere on the premises.
If you do not carry renters' insurance, there is an additional fee of $9.50 per month for "Tenant Liability Insurance." Such insurance covers accidental damages to the apartment and the building, but not to personal possessions.
