Description
Historic Frederick duplex/rowhouse- gardeners paradise, walk to MARC train (Frederick historic district)
We are renting our fully restored and renovated historic (built around 1896) 3BR/2BA rowhouse/duplex in downtown Frederick, available October 1st. House is walking distance to the MARC commuter train and Hood College. From this quiet, nature-filled oasis, with a backyard ready for entertaining, you are a couple short blocks from just about everything you need, including restaurants, coffee shops, farmers markets, shopping, concerts, galleries, parks, pools, gyms, the local library and post office, the Carroll Creek Creative District, tennis courts, bike trails, etc. The house is 1400 SF, and unlike most rowhouses, has lots of sunlight (the right side of the house is open, similar to an end unit) and a big backyard. Other features include 9 foot ceilings, central air conditioning, raised beds for gardening, extensive landscaping, a fenced backyard, two separate patio areas, large capacity W/D, custom kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, marble bathroom floors and showers, and hardwood floors throughout the home. With the help of local carpenters and restoration specialists, we spent several years restoring the historic features of the house, so it has lots of character. We also have a beautiful 200 sft. studio in the backyard that can serve as a workshop or rustic office (e.g., home office, studio for woodworking/painting/ceramics, writer/musicians studio, playhouse for children, etc.). The house is eco-friendly, as we primarily used green construction materials when renovating. The neighborhood is friendly and quiet. NO PETS please. Applicants must submit an online application and pay an application fee. If you are interested in learning more about this property, please send us a short description of your background and interest. Please do not call, as unfortunately we cannot answer the phone most times (when we are at work).
We will respond to all serious inquiries each day, although we will not respond to generic and/or scammer emails or phone messages. Thank you for your interest!
