Charming South Park Craftsman 
My longtime tenant is leaving, and Im looking for a caring and responsible replacement to enjoy my house in South Park. I never thought Id be able to buy a house in Seattle but I got lucky with this one, and Ive been even luckier to rent it to someone who took great care of it for the past three years. Hoping to find someone else who wants to stay a long time in a great neighborhood! 
South Park is probably the citys best kept secret and I loved living there when I first bought the house. Its a shockingly walkable neighborhood, and the house is at the intersection of two very useful bus routes: the 132 (to downtown via SoDo, or to Burien) and 60 (to Capitol Hill via Beacon hill, or Westwood Village in the other direction). Theres space for two cars in the driveway, but you can absolutely live here without one.
As far as local amenities, South Park has lots to offer. For the sake of brevity, I wont go into the relative merits of every local business and attraction, but besides the lack of a walkable grocery store (QFC in Westwood village is the closest full-service one), South Park pretty much has everything. Coffee, beer, burgers, pizza, the best Mexican food in the city, secretly very good gas station fried chicken, a new pupusa truck, etc. etc. The house is right across from the community center, which features sport courts, a playground, a wading pool, and a big open field that is a popular fetch spot for dog owners. Theres also a very unique skatepark a block south, if youre into that, and easy access to the neighborhoods two riverfront parks. I dont have kids, but Ive heard Concord is a a great elementary school, and its definitely walkable.
The house itself is a classic, having been built in 1916 and improved on over the years. Its pretty clear that the half bedroom/den was an add-on, as was the bathroom and the two bedrooms upstairs. However, it doesnt feel slapdash. One of my favorite things about this house is how open the floor plan is on the ground floor, which I think is because it was a larger, single-room cabin originally. Either way, the living and dining room are basically a great room, with only a subtle arch on the ceiling denoting where one ends. The adjacent kitchen is a big square, with the cabinets and appliances grouped to leave tons of open space. I especially liked this because I feel like any good dinner party always starts with everyone hanging out in the kitchen while you chop stuff. Behind the kitchen is a small but well laid out bathroom, with a stacked washer/dryer and a full tub. The aforementioned half bedroom/den opens off of the dining room via french doors, and is really bright and inviting with windows wrapping completely around the west and north sides. Its quite snug in there, and I used it mostly as an office, but I did have a twin bed tucked behind my desk for guests.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms of essentially the same size, although the south-facing one has a wider closet and a feels a bit more open. I guess its the master?
The house sits on 6,000 sq. ft. of land, which includes a little garden shed and fire pit for you to use. Its not fully fenced, so while Im totally open to dogs, its not ready for one that stays out all day. While I loved the lawn, I didnt love working on it, so I hired a great landscaper and will continue employing him so you too can avoid yard work. Thats included in the rent. I also have one of those price for life deals for fast CenturyLink internet and am happy to continue paying for that as well, unless youd prefer to get cable and do the bundle or something.
Overall, while the house is plenty old and has its foibles, everything works and its been an absolute joy for me (and my most recent tenant!). If youre interested in brand new construction, this probably aint for you, but if you care about character, come by and take a look.
The nitty gritty:
$3250/mo, first/last/deposit to move in, minimum 1 year lease, well behaved cats/dogs ok w/ $350 deposit, tenant is responsible for electricity and water/sewer/garbage.
