The quaint cottage is a 5-minute walk to Old historic Makawao Town, where you will find Local eateries, a general store, and a famous bakery shop. The home is decorated with your comfort in mind. We used old Hawaiiana furniture from the 1960s, kept the 1930's plantation era characteristics that add a charming and calming touch. At the top of Olinda road are adventurous hiking trails, a succulent farm, and an indigenous bird sanctuary. Staying upcountry has you closer to nature, and in the next town over, you'll find waterfalls and freshwater streams to swim on your days off. Makawao has a cooler climate, and air conditioning is not necessary. If you are looking for a laid back and tranquil space, our Makawao cottage will be a place you'll be happy to call home.
