At the northern tip of the Peninsula is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.
Downtown Long Beach is a hub of activity year-round, especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival, Rod Run, and fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. There are great shops, various restaurants, and lots of things for the kids to do, including miniature golf, the arcade, and go-cart rides.
Ilwaco, Cape Disappointment, and the North Head lighthouse are south of Long Beach. There are art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months, there’s Saturday Market, too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers, and plants for sale.
