Moll Properties was founded by Simon and Monica Moll, both Cornell Graduates who fell in love with Ithaca and all it has to offer. Simon came all the way from Adelaide, South Australia to study at Cornell University as a graduate student and met Monica, a New Jersey transplant who was also finishing graduate school at Cornell. Having come from humble graduate student backgrounds, we understand the need for affordable quality housing for both students and young professionals in the Ithaca area. Extremely large 1-bedroom apartment (~600 sq ft) located at 1718 Mecklenburg Rd, right across the street from Ryan&apos;s Veggies. This is a large property with a large common-area back deck looking east towards Cayuga Lake (view is mostly trees though!). Apartment is unfurnished; tenant pays electricity; landlord pays heat and hot water.
 
Big windows and lots of natural light. Tile and hard floor throughout, newer kitchen with dishwasher, ample closet space. Off-street parking included. This is a good intermediate location between Ithaca and Watkins Glen or even Ithaca and Trumansburg. There is plenty of room on the property for tenants to have a garden.
 
Landlord pays for heat, garbage, and water/sewer. Tenant pays for electric, which includes hot water.
 
Security deposit equal to one month&apos;s rent is due at signing of lease, first month&apos;s rent is due prior to move-in. Rent will be prorated for whatever portion of the first month remains; rent due on the 1st of the month after that.
 
We are flexible on the length of the lease but we prefer the lease to end in the summer of 2023 or 2024.
 
Unit is available now. We will be able to show the apartment to people who have completed a basic rental application. When we receive the basic application, we will review it and contact your references. We may then contact you to offer to show you the apartment. After you have had the chance to see the apartment, you will be able to finish the application process and pay a screening fee which covers a credit and background check. The screening fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee of $39, which pays directly for the credit and background check.
 
Security deposit equal to one month&apos;s rent ($1025) due at signing of lease. Rent will be prorated for the first month if move-in date is not the first of the month. Rent due on the first of the month after that.
