Moll Properties was founded by Simon and Monica Moll, both Cornell Graduates who fell in love with Ithaca and all it has to offer. Simon came all the way from Adelaide, South Australia to study at Cornell University as a graduate student and met Monica, a New Jersey transplant who was also finishing graduate school at Cornell. Having come from humble graduate student backgrounds, we understand the need for affordable quality housing for both students and young professionals in the Ithaca area. We love what we do and it shows in the quality of the management and maintenance of our properties. Enjoy your own little home in a international community of graduate students, families, and professionals 1 mile from the Cornell Vet school in the Hillside Acres park.The house has an open floor plan, with large living/dining room and hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen looks out to the large main room for an open, spacious feel when you come home. There is one large bedroom (18x10) and one small bedroom (7x8). Bathroom has bathtub. The home is well-insulated and heated by natural gas.Outside there is a covered place to park, a row of outdoor storage lockers and storage shed. An attached 3-season sunroom provides warmth and light. The furnace, electric, plumbing and insulation have been recently updated. Washer and dryer included in house.Hillside Acres park is 1 mile north of the Vet School, and a 5 min bus ride to Cornell. There is a covered bus stop at the park, with frequent buses to Cornell (at least 2x/hour during the week, see bus routes 40 and 43). The park is located in the hamlet of Varna, surrounded by wooded hills with nearby hiking/biking trails in the Cornell Plantations, Fall Creek and East Hill Recreation Way. The community that lives at Hillside is unique, as there are many graduate students and young families from all over the world. The park is well-maintained and is very quiet at night.A very comfortable, friendly and safe place to live, with great neighbors. This is not your typical doublewide, in not your typical mobile home park!The rent is $1100 (unfurnished) + utilities. The rent includes water, trash service, snow removal. Utilities average $110/month ($50 electric + $60 gas) according to NYSEG records. Low utilities are due to new insulation, upgraded windows, and a new furnace in 2013.
