$750 - 1 Bedroom + deck in Apartment 1 block from Maverick Station East Boston

A room with a private roof deck in a four-bedroom apartment is now available. The apartment is in a building located on Paris Street, East Boston, less than 500 feet (about 150 meters) from the entrance to Maverick Station for the Blue Line subway and bus lines 114, 116, 117, 120, 121. The room is on the third floor of an apartment on the second and third floors. The room is about 84 square feet (12 ft x 7 ft) but opens to a private roof deck, which is over 170 square feet. Some of those who live in the apartment speak Spanish and it would be convenient but not necessary if the new roommate could communicate in Spanish. The bathroom, kitchen, and living room comprise the shared part of the apartment. Every person has to be responsible to keep the kitchen, bathroom, and hallways clean and orderly.

The rent is intended for one person for $750 per month and includes utilities. Renters must also pay a security deposit equal to one month's rent. The security deposit will be returned when the tenant moves out so long as there is no damage to the property beyond normal wear and tear.

No pets or smoking are permitted on the premises. Renters must agree to basic house rules in terms of being respectful of one’s neighbors inside and outside the building, cleaning up after themselves, and not playing loud music or engaging in any activity that would disturb their neighbors. Apartment-mates are encouraged to meet at least once per month to review shared responsibilities.

Applicants must show proof of employment and provide at least one reference that we can call to confirm that the applicant is honest, responsible, respectful, and capable of paying the rent. We may also ask to see a credit report. For the first month, the rent will be adjusted based on the day of the month when one moves in.
