$950/month includes all bills paid except phone, cable, satellite, etc. That is: rent covers electricity, gas, water, sewage, garbage pickup, lawn care, and appliances (stove, refrigerator, heaters, shared washer & dryer)—around $450±/month in expenses covered by the rent making actual base rent on the house alone about $500/month (less than $0.53/sq ft). If you want to pay the electric and gas bills yourself (as well as the deposits to have them changed over to your name), $150 can be deducted making rent $800.
