Hello!
My name is John and I am a single home owner looking for a roommate in my 3 Bed/1 bath home in NE Portland, situated in the Cully neighborhood.
Amenities included: dishwasher, washer & dryer, driveway, large front yard and a fenced backyard with patio space and a shed for extra storage. The third bedroom is being used as a shared office space/small art studio with some extra storage space in the closet.
This is a pet friendly home - large or small dogs and cats welcome! All I ask is that they are house trained, well-behaved, and that you take good care of them. There is a $500 pet deposit, refundable at end of lease.
The room is 109 sq. ft with a fresh coat of paint, updated closet space and black out curtains.
A little about me: I am a 33 year old Portland local, grew up here but travelled around for a few years while enlisted in the Navy. I returned home in 2015 to be around family and to go back to school. I currently work a 9 - 5 job in healthcare. Id describe myself as an introverted nerd who likes to be around people but recharges by reading and watching TV. I tend to plop down on the couch and watch the View after I come home from work : ) I like to workout at the gym, go for bike rides on the weekend and go out for a drink occasionally.
The house sits next to the vibrant and fun 42nd Avenue, a main artery in NE Portland. 42nd is lined with lots of cute shops and bars, along with a large community park (Fernhill Park) that has a track, field and off-leash dog park.
The 75 bus also runs up and down 42nd for easy commuter access.
I like to keep my space clean but am flexible, as long as peoples expectations are met. Shared living situations require a good amount of communication, so people who know how to express their needs and wants upfront and in a healthy manner are ideal. Passive aggressive sticky notes or texts are a no-go : )
Smoking is allowed on the front and back patios, no indoor smoking please. Vaping is okay indoors.
