The apartment has beautiful hardwood floors, a large living room, a large detached bathroom, dining area, kitchen and several closets including a large walk in closet. It is truly a cross between a studio and a 1 bedroom unit. However, there is NO detached bedroom which is why it is called a Jr 1 Bedroom. The bathroom entrance has a small "vanity" sitting area.
The unit was painted this year and includes two original circa 1930s chandeliers. Some Former tenants have used the dining area off the kitchen as a bedroom, although the walk in closet is large enough to fit at least a full sized bed; others have set their bedroom up in the living room. There are 6 units per floor (6 X 3=18) and there is an elevator. The 31 Balboa stop is right at the corner a few hundred feet from the building.
This is a VERY quiet building where privacy is respected although there is a strong sense of community. Landlord pays for heat (radiator), hot water, & garbage. Tenant(s) pay only for his/her/their own gas and electricity. There is NO in-building laundry on the premises but laundry facilities are just 2 blocks away. We also have excellent laundry pickup/delivery referrals.
Move in Cost= 1st Months rent + 1.5 Months rent security deposit. One year lease required; preference given to those who intend to stay longer.
